"I signed up for insurance with Josh Browning’s agency through State Farm on September 10th, 2024. Initially, everything seemed fine, and I opted for auto-pay. My last email correspondence with the agency on September 27th confirmed that my full amount would be auto-paid on October 16th, 2024. However, on October 24th, 2024, I received a call from the agency informing me that my policy had been canceled and had lapsed for 8 days. This was due to a miscommunication between underwriting and the agency. I received no notice from underwriting or Josh’s agency about this issue. I was dropped without any documentation or warning. When I requested to reinstate my policy immediately, they agreed but informed me that my new policy would cost $60 more per month. When I questioned this, they attributed the increase to their “new system.” This feels like a classic bait and switch tactic. Ultimately, I place the blame on this agency for knowing my policy was being terminated and not notifying me after it had lapsed for 8 days. More training for their staff is clearly necessary to prevent such issues in the future. I am extremely disappointed with the lack of communication and the sudden, unjustified increase in my premium. This experience has been frustrating and has left me feeling deceived and undervalued as a customer. Additionally, Josh escalated this issue to a level 2, and the underwriters denied his claim, which essentially states that his agency was at fault for letting the policy cancel. Although Josh has 5-star reviews from other customers, it seems that things are getting too lax, and this situation reflects poorly on the agency’s overall management and communication practices."
